Stridely is developed and maintained by Arc Solutions, a solo indie studio. This policy explains what data Stridely accesses, how it is used, who it is shared with, and your rights as a user.
Stridely accesses the following categories of data depending on the features and integrations you enable:

Stridely only reads data from Apple Health and Health Connect; it does not write to them. By default, Stridely's Strava connection also only reads your data. The one exception is the optional Strava Recap feature (Settings → Strava Recap): when you tap "Post recap" on a run, or turn on "Auto-post to Strava," Stridely appends a short summary block — weather, shoes, pace, HR/effort, PR & race context, training load, splits, elevation, and race predictions, limited to the sections you enable — to that run's Strava description, without altering anything you already wrote there. This feature is off by default, requires a Pro subscription, and is the only reason Stridely ever requests Strava's activity:write permission. Outside of this explicit, user-triggered action, we never post to your Strava feed or modify your activities or profile.
On your device. Stridely's coaching engine runs entirely on your device. Activity and health data is fetched directly from the services you connect and analyzed locally.
Cloud account (optional). If you sign in with Apple or Google to create a cloud account, our Firebase backend (Google Cloud) stores, so it carries over between your devices:
Creating a cloud account is optional and separate from connecting Strava or a health source. Without one, this data stays on your device. If you start a free trial without an account, an anonymous identifier is created so the trial is only granted once.
Weather. If you grant location permission, your device's coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to fetch local weather. They are not stored by Arc Solutions.
The free version of Stridely shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location and information about ad interactions.
Stridely uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand which screens and features are used, and Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports (device model, OS version, app version and the technical state of the app when it crashed). This data is used only to improve the app and is not used for advertising. It does not include your activity or health data.

Arc Solutions does not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with the services above only as needed to provide the features described in this policy.
Stridely offers an optional feature that lets you connect your own Claude (Anthropic) or Gemini (Google) API key to enhance coaching responses.
You can remove your API key at any time from the app settings, which immediately disables all external AI calls.
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 13. We will respond within 30 days.
Stridely is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users via the app or by email if we hold your address.
Continued use of Stridely after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
