Stridely is developed and maintained by Arc Solutions, a solo indie studio. This policy explains what data Stridely accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
Stridely accesses the following categories of data depending on the integrations you enable:
| Data type | Source | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Run activities (distance, pace, duration, HR, GPS) | Strava (read-only OAuth) | Required |
| Email address | Provided by you at subscription | Required for Pro |
| HRV, resting HR, sleep, SpO2, steps | Health Connect (Android) / Garmin / Suunto | Optional |
| AI API key | Entered by you (Claude / Gemini BYOK) | Optional |
Stridely's Strava connection is read-only. We never post to your Strava feed, modify activities, or write data back to any connected service.
Data accessed by Stridely is used solely to provide coaching analysis and app functionality:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core app experience.
Strava data is fetched directly from Strava's API to your device. Arc Solutions does not operate a backend that stores or processes your training data.
Stridely integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
| Service | Purpose | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Strava | Activity data source (read-only) | strava.com/legal/privacy |
| Google Health Connect | Optional health data (Android) | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Garmin Connect | Optional health & HRV data | garmin.com privacy |
| Suunto | Optional health & HRV data | suunto.com privacy |
| RevenueCat / App Store / Google Play | Subscription management | Apple & Google platform policies |
Arc Solutions does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes.
Stridely offers an optional feature that lets you connect your own Claude (Anthropic) or Gemini (Google) API key to enhance coaching responses.
You can remove your API key at any time from the app settings, which immediately disables all external AI calls.
Because Stridely processes data on-device and does not operate a backend, we do not retain your training data on any server.
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
| Right | Applies to |
|---|---|
| Access — request a copy of data we hold about you | All users |
| Deletion — request removal of your personal data | All users |
| Correction — request correction of inaccurate data | All users |
| Portability — receive your data in a structured format | EEA / UK (GDPR) |
| Opt-out of sale — we do not sell data | California (CCPA) |
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 11. We will respond within 30 days.
Stridely is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users via the app or by email if we hold your address.
Continued use of Stridely after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
